downdraft not as strong as old version

major disappointment. i had the old jennair with downdraft, and only chose this model as i thought it would be an easy swap. WRONG!!!! the new model sits lower in the back and bottom, so i had to completely remodel the area where it was. and now that its in, the downdraft is poor compared to the old version. with all this hassle, i wish i had installed an over head vent and bought a different brand completely. lesson learned. on the plus side, it heats very quickly. con: stove top already scratched.
