We bought this washer 6 years ago and it worked great at first but over the past couple of years it has been plagued with issues. Making noises that could not be addressed off smells inside the washer even though we run the cleaning process. And now when washing its leaking liquid onto our floor. Very disappointing to say the least. I sure miss the days when things were built to last not to make a buck.

Easily the best clothes washer weve owned.

This is a long term review. We bought the WT4970CW from the local Home Depot in 2014. We were replacing a 5 year old Sears top load washer that got severely out of balance with any large load. The only issue with the LG washer so far has been the adjusting legs lock nuts were not secured by the installer. The unit got out of balance code UE with large loads.. but after properly leveling and securing the leg lock nuts. Its been flawless. We are on year 9 with these LG washer dryer and have no complaints.

Was good for 8 years then started throwing a UE Error code. Wouldnt complete a spin cycle so scheduled LG service. Was shocked when the tech said to pitch it and replace with new as parts are discontinued. Bought new and used by only a single old man. Seems like it should be able to see more mileage then this.
