It is a beautiful fridge but since it is built-in, there is not much depth to store big bulky items (ie. placing a box of cake in would take up the whole shelf space and not much room to store liter sized bottles).

So happy we decided on the Kitchen Aid, even though we have only had it for a short time we are very happy with it. Fit perfectly where our Sub Zero was and it looks so amazing. Cant wait to finish the rest of the kitchen now.

We have had cabinet matching wood inserts on our last 3 homes and my wife wanted the same on this one. After looking at SubZero and other built ins available in 48", the price and availability of inserts led us to look at this current KitchenAid SS model at a great price at Spencers in Scottsdale, AZ. We purchased it one day and it was installed the next day. Great product that fits in nicely and fills our needs.

We replaced an older model Sub Zero with our new KitchenAid a few months ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. The glass shelves look much nicer than our previous metal ones. The refrigerator is colder, plenty of freezer room, and both doors close effortlessly.

Ice maker is a lemon

I bought the 2013 version, the KSSC48QVS, and the ice maker has had issues from the start. We have had to have it serviced at least 6 times. It would randomly start dispensing ice on to the floor. It is not comforting to come home to a flooded kitchen. Ice will also get clogged up in the chute, requiring removal of the ice collector. This is the first time I ever purchased an extended warranty. The first time I ever felt the need for one. But thank goodness I did. The refrigerator functions fine though.
